SPV Building advice sought

James Howgego

I am thinking of building a romilly with a couple of guys who are unemployed – where I think the strip planking hull would be ideal for unskilled labour the bow/stern look quite gentle.

I am thinking of western red cedar or douglas fir 18mm thick.

Has anyone stretched by 1.15 to make the most of the 2.5m width limit for trailering would make for a 25ft yacht with enough space for a larger cabin?

Look forward to your replies
