Rowing a Romilly

Has any one out there tried rowing a Romilly. I’ve tried discussion boards to find out if its even practical with such a wide boat. I found some calculations which suggest that for 9ft of beam Id need oars around 16ft… stowing would be an issue. Or failing that sculling? If no actual experience of doing so in a Romilly how about similar sized craft. Any thoughts: suggestions appreciated.

I tried a 10’ oar as a scull. It stowed nicely under the side decks, acted as a cockpit cover ridge ( stopping rainwater pooling in the cover) and worked reasonably OK with a rowlock attached to a wooden block on the stern
